In minute forty-two, Sam matches wits with a doubtful police officer while Richard Kimble drags his half-drowned, half-frozen sorry self out of the river. Sam doesn't back down with the cop and tells him to get himself a cane pole and go catch their fish-food fugitive with it. The expensive helicopter shots continue near the picturesque dam and overhead while Kimble runs through the trees.

Minute forty-one begins with Biggs telling Sam that Kimble is dead, to which Sam retorts that will make him easy to catch. His frustration boils over because water is still pouring over the top of the dam. Meanwhile, Harrison Ford is soaked and freezing again as Kimble floats down river, finding some branches to cling to. We close with a string of small boats with men searching for Kimble's body.

Dizzying minute forty begins with Deputy Sam standing way too close to the precipice where Kimble did a "Peter Pan" dive. Sam, Biggs and Cosmo have minor freak out about getting out of the dam facility before finding fresh air. Sam immediately begins to bark more orders, and yes, he wants a helicopter again.

Minute thirty-nine sees light at the end of the tunnel, but it is a long, long drop to the turbulent waters at the foot of the dam. Deputy Sam catches up with Kimble and does what he does best: bark orders. Kimble weighs captivity vs. a possibly fatal jump. Decision made he takes a swan dive out of the tunnel into the waterfall from the dam.

Minute thirty-eight and a well-used GIF is born. Kimble picks up Deputy Sam's dropped gun and Sam prudently raises his hands. Kimble informs Sam he didn't kill his wife, to which Sam replies I DON'T CARE. Kimble backs away, then turns and runs. Sam pulls out his backup piece and continues the chase down another long, wet tunnel.

A very wet minute thirty-six begins with the US Marshals tossing the sewer grate aside very noisily before dropping down into the pipe to follow Kimble. Cosmo complains that he just bought his shoes, which will probably come back to haunt him in his annual performance review. Kimble tries to be sneaky by tossing his jacket down one tunnel then taking another. Deputy Sam makes his determined way down a pipe after him.

Team Sam heads to the drain and flips off the cover.

Minute thirty-four has a whole lot of moving parts, with a helicopter, an ambulance, cop cars, and confused civilians. Kimble is heading for a tunnel that apparently Newman and Biggs can't find because Google Maps hasn't been invented yet. Kimble drives recklessly around innocent motorists in the tunnel only to find a helicopter and cop cars at the far end. Newman and Biggs must have figured out the map as they come up from behind. We end the minute with Kimble considering his options.
