Jacob expounds on the book of Deuteronomy focusing on prophesies concerning Israel's latter days' crisis and salvation out of it as the biblical context for all the Prophets' prophetic searchings and inquiries, and ultimately the New Testament Apostle's revelation known as "the mystery." Before Israel ever sets foot in the land of promise she is placed in a prophetic covenant crisis-- "the secret things of the YHWH" (Deut. 29:29). In Christ (Messiah), especially in His suffering death and resurrection, the counsel and mind of YHWH in His covenant with Israel is revealed to us (Psalm 25:14) and it is the foundation informing us the Church, both Jews and Gentile followers of Messiah, on how to relate to one another within God's covenant administration as we await Israel's final and everlasting last days' salvation.
