This episode begins out in the Big Woods of Wisconsin, we are introduced to Charles' father, Lansford Ingalls, who is dealing with some heavy feelings after his wife/Charles' Mother passes away. Charles receives the news and makes a trip home to see his dad.   He is greeted with an explosive family reunion meal at his older brother's place. And if the reunion with his brother was an indictor.....it's going to be one long night for Charles with his dad. Will we get to meet more of the extended Ingalls family in the future?  How was Charles all the sudden able to afford a train ticket all the way to Wisconsin? When does Carrie actually start school?
