1: Count’em on one hand, maybe no hands, how many balls we won back in Columbus' half, or our own half for that matter. That has to be the key to our success this year and it was absent today.  Barto looked lost.

2: The goal was not on Guz but regardless he did not look great. He guessed right on the PK, and that’s huge and I believe his first PK save in 8 years, but apart from that, poor distribution, uncomfortable on the ball and he looked surprisingly unsure of himself. 

3: A solid 30 second stretch for Atlanta was how the play by play voice ended the first half after our only real attacking threat and that sums up our first half pretty succinctly. It was poor in every facet. That continued for long stretches in the 2nd. 

4: Our best attacking chances came off counter attacks and transition play. There just wasn’t enough of it. I didn’t understand our absolute insistence on playing back every time. It looked reminiscent of the early FDB days. 

5: Guz had 46 touches,  more than GG or Saba. Yes Thiago, apart from his blocked shot, was not his best, but we had no discernible attacking patterns of play. Dunno if that’s players not understanding Pineda or Pineda not communicating well to the players but it has to be fixed.
