s5 e10 • the one with the most disgusting scene (the one with the inappropriate sister)

we step into the delorean and fly back through history to learn that luellen and her brothers play-slapped each other instead of play-wrestled. we've very much hit a stride with our hosting flow in this episode. and, we could hardly stomach, yet alone talk about some of these scenes y'all!

meanwhile, rachel and danny finally make relational progress to have it quickly quenched by his 'special bond' with another. ross self appoints himself accountable for joey's career and battles it out with chandler for who has joey's best interest at heart. and, 'for whom the bell tolls' almost summarizes how phoebe felt in this episode.

meanwhile, joey becomes the fall guy for monica and chandler's carelessness with their coverup. ross discovers the end of the rope that's been holding him together. and, phoebe comes to regret asking either of her friends to take the course with her.

meanwhile, the boys all hunker in together, building forts (as one does with their adult, guy friends). phoebe is enamored by her health inspector date until the shine of his fancy role begins to dull. and, rachel plays cat and mouse...or maybe basketball?..., and we are never quite sure what's happening or who's winning or who needs to make the next move, with danny.
