In the Lord's Prayer of John 17, Jesus is praying for a group of men that even being called will still fall short.  However, in the moment He consults the Holy Father, Jesus ask that they be united as He and the Father have always been.  Divisiveness whether we know it or not has always been a tool of satan that Jesus warns us against.
