Andrew Young is a Great British Cross-Country Skier. Andrew started skiing at the early age of 2. Through the Huntly Nordic Ski Club and British Nordic Development Squad he progressed into racing.

In the 2010 he moved to Norway to get better training conditions and more time on snow. He then focused mostly on sprint racing as a young senior athlete, before beginning to focus on both sprint and distance over the last few years.

What. A. Guy. Cheick Diabate from Exeter City Football Club sat down with me this week to talk about The Truths About Being A Footballer.

It looks easy, right? From the stands, it looks like an easy, overpaid job... but the truth is, so much hard work and dedication goes into making it pro.

Diabate started his career at Stevenage before a move to Exeter City in 2018. He first appeared in a matchday squad during Exeter's 2–0 away EFL Trophy group-stage victory over Newport County in October 2019 but like most footballers trying to make it... he was sent out on loan.

However, he persevered, persisted, and finally broke into the first team.

How did a kid growing up in South London, witnessing knife crime on his doorstep go from there to now... where he's playing in front of 000's of fans at St James Park.

It's a deep, dark, and honest conversation.
