It wouldn't be Wednesday without a fresh episode of Better Lait Than Never to massage your earholes with an hour of Oilers-adjacent nonsense. This week, I talked a little bit more about the Dogs for Dogs charity campaign, the Oilers' cursed third period against the Florida Panthers, Zach Hyman's poor face, and a whole lot more.

Now that the Dogs for Dogs charity bit is settled and set for January, I started the podcast with a quick update on where we're at regarding the per-hot dog pledges and where I think we could still end up. If I'm being honest, the fact that anybody is willing to support this nonsense idea with real money is beyond me, but now that we're here, I'm vowing to do my best to raise as much money as possible.

Turning the podcast back to the Oilers, I started the news with a podcast confession about Monday's loss to the Florida Panthers. You may have thought it was the team's fault that they fell apart in the third period and lost the game, but the real story features a lot more big curse energy. Either way, losing to the Panthers the way the boys did was a turd in the punchbowl on what was otherwise a fantastic week. You win some, you lose some, I guess.

Finally, I wrapped up this quick episode of BLTN with a Righteous Sack Beating about spam calls before wrapping up the show with another round of voicemails. I swear that if my phone rings, there's a better than 60% chance that it's going to be a garbage call, and it's incredibly annoying. The inbox was quieter this week, but I still got a healthy chuckle from your ideas and feedback. As always, I sat back and laughed while listening to everything that's been on your mind over the last seven days.
