Bryan Fischer here with the Life & Liberty Minute. A dangerous error has crept into the ideology of the Supreme Court. It’s called stare decisis, a Latin phrase which means “let the decision stand.” It’s the theory that once the Court has issued an opinion, that opinion must be applied in all subsequent decisions, even if the opinion is fatally flawed. This is the only thing propping up Roe v. Wade. Even regressive justices believe Roe was wrongly decided, but they continue to affirm it just from inertia and habit. They’re afraid to correct their terrible ruling from 1973, and so 63 million babies have suffered excruciating deaths. But a terrible ruling is terrible no matter how long it’s been around. The Court will have the chance to correct this monstrous evil in a case from Mississippi. Let us fervently pray that this time they will choose life.
