Easter series 2021 Part 1

Message: God wants peace from purpose through Him, where burdens are lifted. Restlessness results from gathering riches or desiring what others have, creating busy lives and failing to appreciate sleep on the road to success. Society is trying to take away the rest at Jesus' feet as we have desires for the eternal, yet hold on to the temporary. Christ in us and strengthening us; we are rich beyond all measure. He has our good so we can rest in His sweet sleep

Scripture: Ecclesiastes 5:12-14 "The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.  There is a sore evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt." KJV

Message: There is something uncommon among those of the bible. They would sit, stand with outstretched arms and lay prostrate before a Holy God when in His presence. In this scripture David is sitting humbly in the presence of God for a season to reflect and meditate on all God has done in his life during the trials. All we have must be look upon as divine gifts from God, hearing His Word, seeing His Word in the midst of trials and living them in the doing.

Scripture:  2 Samuel 7:18 "Then went king David in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?" KVJ

Message: The blood of Jesus was a new way to the Father, no longer separated and with a new High Priest to give assurance, but still drawn by God. In His love He changes us through conviction and convincing. In trust we knock on the door asking God to direct our paths that we may know the hope of His calling.

Scripture: Hebrews 10:19-22 "Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water." KJV

Message: In adversity, persecution and provocation we grieve from the heart. In this, be thankful. For even in bitterness, when feeling unloved and when pouring out your soul, God speaks, restores our joy, revealing to others what He has done in us. He builds our trust and we exalt the Lord.

Scripture: 1 Samuel 2:1-2 "And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation. There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God." KJV

Message: God does not rest; we can find piece and contentment no matter what's going on. Rest requires strength and courageousness to follow the commandments which bring success as God goes with you to make it come to pass. So walk it out without a hardened heart, get to know His ways, in faith labor over the Word which discerns the intentions of the heart and teaches His ways.

Scripture: Matthew 11:28-29 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

Message: God is working for our good. We doubt because bad things happen, but it is according to His purpose to heal, deliver and set free. Trust in His sufficiency, all other words fall short.

Scripture:  Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

Message: Pray for effect to reach the throne of God is the hardest, requiring a passionate intensity and discipline with an earnest and humble heart. Our faith is directly demonstrated through our works, therefore let us intercede for all men in prayer to repent, laying all at the altar of sacrifice to God who is able to heal the strongholds of the hopeless and broken. The church is changing, strongholds are breaking, revival is coming.

Scripture: James 5:16 "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." KJV

Message: War and division in the world is causing hurt, personal need and emptiness, let the soul of man be quickened, refreshed and recreated living a life in Jesus Christ.  God breathed a living soul into our bodies hoping many would choose life, but man chose death, so not to live in sin forever, God gave us a Way to choose new life, to be restored.

Scripture: Psalm 23:3 "He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake." KJV

Message: Transforming the old self into the new self is about who we serve and how we serve Him, resisting our desires to take on His, allowing His calling, letting Him grow in you a serving heart in the power of the Holy Spirit, because it is our hope and joy, for others and God's glory.

Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20 " For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? For ye are our glory and joy." KJV
