I really enjoy seeing the progression Jai has made as an artist. The first time I saw her perform was at a bar where she played a set of cover songs on her acoustic. Cover artists are fun for the simple fact that everyone likes to sing along to nostalgic songs from their past or current radio hits. So no shade being thrown here, but for me originals are what i get excited about. We talk all about that transition from cover artist to writing originals and preparing to put out those originals in this episode!

If you like classic 70's acoustic rock dripping with raw, transparent, honest emotion, coupled with a powerhouse of a beautiful voice... Then this episode is totally for you!

Jai also gives us a very special performance of three unreleased originals that she has been recently working on. It's an awesome epsiode and I had so much fun sitting down and talking everything music with her.

I'm back baby! I know how much everyone has missed me, so I wanted to come back with a big episode explosion featuring a metal power trio straight to your face! That's right I interviewed Mansfield's own UnderStubstance!

These three dudes are way more dedicated to the progression and success of this band than I intially thought! We dive deep into what makes this band tick. From funding every piece of gear, to the chemistry built over years and years of playing/writing together. We discuss it all! As well as their love for shock value, satirical, raunchy humor. Which if you aren't a fan of, this episiode is probably not for you.

With the amount of natural talent and drive these guys have, it's only a matter of time until they are getting to the places they want to go musically. It's hard to find the type of musical chemistry these three have together, so much so that it's exciting to me when I get the chance to whitness it and watch it grow.

We talk about the massive Fest upgrades coming your way to the second stage, which i personally am very excited about! To say that i am excited about that would be an understatement!

Mansfield Music Fest definately has a special place in my heart. It's just such a fun time every year and its completely Mansfield minded, which if you listen to the show at all, you know that I am all about! We talk everything from lyricism to producing. Having the drive and love for the art to pick up every aspect of making music because there wasn't availble studio time around you. As well as personal goals and what he is striving for on his journey to becoming financially independent.

It's refreshing to see younger people with the dedication and work ethic to strive towards their goals, as well as just an overall kindness and love for life.

On this episode I had the pleasure of chatting with a relatively newer Mansfield local by the name of MIDDLING.

A three piece midwest skrams band that will take you by surprise with the mashup of pretty tapping styled guitars juxtapose harsh yelling vocals and heavy drivin drums.

A genre I wasn't personally aware of until I listened to their debut EP titled, "Successful Midwest Lifestyle," that came out May 31st. I am now a huge fan of this genre thanks to these three!

We had a wonderful time talking writing concepts and approaches, origins of the band, and how fun it is to travel with your friends to play music in other places that aren't your hometown!

Definitely not everyones cup of tea, but they are well worth checking out. Very Introspective and beautiful with a mix up to break that musical lull we all tend to find ourselves in when you've been listening to the same things over and over again.

This dude is doing some incredible stuff as of late for the Mansfield Music scene! We talk at length about the lighting rig that he has sunk money and an exorbant amount of time into just for the love and interest of! As I say many times in the episode, you really don't realize what you need in your life until it's there!

We also get into the concept of creating an imersive experiance that moves an audience in a direction emotionally through song set structure and live performance. As well as what he has been doing as of late in the area that truly tugs at his heart, Film and directing!

Lee has been a good friend of mine for a long time now and I greatly admire him for the work he does and his constant willingness to be vulnerable with every aspect of his art that he puts out.

This was such a fun and fascinating conversation! I hope it will inspire anyone who creates, to try to push yourself to the next level of thoughtful creation.

We discuss what her writing process looks like, how she got her start in music. As well as where her inspiration came from before the hiatus and where it comes from now as a mother of two. I so much enjoyed this conversation. It never ceases to amaze me where musicians inspiration comes from and how similar we all end up being once you get down deep onto a certain level. The conectability through music is incredible!
