The Open Road Podcast

We have a short episode this week due to some disruptions to our regularly scheduled programming.

We get an update from Jay Siemens about the adventure he began after we hung up the phone last week. Crazy what adventures can happen in a week!

Don't text and drive! Stay safe!

Jay Siemens is a man of many talents. He is an avid fisherman and filmmaker. He does a lot of the filming for Jeremy and Calvin's favourite fishing YouTube channel, Uncut Angling.

We bring him on the show to chat about how he found himself filming a fishing show for TV with no experience and no schooling. We also discuss the sport of fishing, and why anyone would ever let an amazing fish go free after catching it.

Calvin and Jeremy also discuss Tim Horton's Roll Up The Rim campaign, and Calvin shares a story of some interesting smells from his job site.

Your feedback is important to us.

This week your hosts Calvin and Jeremy tackle a few different topics.

The guys give their expert opinions regarding The Super Bowl, and Calvin calls out Jeremy on his new found pastime of adult video gaming to discuss if its possible to respect a grown-ass man who calls playing Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros a hobby. Listen in for some outrageous sports betting and a surprise visit from the very first guest on the podcast.

We also a much needed life update from Jeremy where he tells all of his plans to dive head first into the soothing yet troubled waters of nostalgia.

Calvin is about to become a father. The adventure of parenthood is nigh. Crazy stuff.

Naturally, we need to talk to an expert or Calvin will be doomed. Enter: Emily Thomas of the Mom Struggling Well Podcast. Enjoy our conversation about the adventure of parenting and why snacks are insanely important.

We also find out what could happen if you were to let Calvin loose in a hospital without supervision.

We're back after a short break over the Holiday season.

On this episode, we share some stories from our adventures over the holidays. Calvin was living it up in Florida, and Jeremy was in beautiful British Columbia visiting with family and friends.

Just how much does Jeremy love eagles? What happens when Calvin gets invited to a ritzy golf club to play a round? Listen in and find out!

Listener mail will likely be read on the show! What adventures are getting you excited/have you planned for 2017?

Hey hey hey, I'm here to say - Car Window Poetry is the only way!

That was an example of a terrible poem. Probably written by Jeremy. Good thing we have a true artist, Alex Lewis, on this week's show to chat all about what Car Window Poetry is, and what inspired him to start it.
