Before we start opening tabs on everything from artificial intelligence and true crime to the paranormal, conspiracies, technology, psychology, music, faith, relationships, history, and whatever rabbit hole comes next, there's one tab we need to open first: Who is Jack Rutherford, and what exactly is this podcast?

In this episode, Jack introduces the idea behind The Open Tab™, why curiosity matters, and why this show refuses to stay inside a single niche. He also lays out the six rules that will guide the show: question everything, separate opinions from facts, be willing to change your mind, remember that nobody knows everything, disagree without becoming an asshole, and correct the record when you get something wrong.

The Open Tab™ isn't here to tell you what to think. It's a place to ask better questions, follow the evidence, challenge assumptions, and occasionally disappear down a rabbit hole just because it's interesting.
