The Open Word (Audio)

We hear so many dates and times in the Bible. We especially hear about time periods that will take place in Revelation. Pastor David is teaching today about how literal it actually is. When John says that something will take place for a thousand years, he means that something will take place for a thousand years. When people try to spiritual-ize, add to, or change what the Bible says, run! We are told to rightly divide the Word of Truth. That means that we're responsible for what we know, so take heed!

God's people have always been under attack. So much so, that it almost looks like some of their part in the Book of Revelation has already come to pass. Pastor David is teaching today that it hasn't. We are in the midst of the end times as we speak. So many things are beginning to line up in Revelation and Ezekiel thirty eight and thirty nine. It seems like it's something that we should be scared of, but as Christians we should be excited. We are closer now to the rapture than we've ever been before!

Pastor David is reminding us that no amount of being nice or being a good person will get them to Heaven. We are saved only by believing in Christ. Salvation isn't something that can be earned, no matter how hard we try. So, instead of feeling down that we aren't as nice as they are, we should share the Gospel with them!

He will defend us better than anything that we can come up with on our own anyways! We may not see it in this lifetime, but we need to just step aside, let go, and let God.

Whatever they're going through is between them and the Lord. Our job is to share Jesus. They may or may not make the choice to worship God, but we can rest knowing that we did everything in our power.
