The Institute for supply management issues its index of non-manufacturing activity for December. The CES (Consumer Electronics Show) continues today in Las Vegas.

On January 4th 2017,  shares today’s potential market drivers: The Federal Reserve releases minutes from its December interest rate meeting while the Mortgages Bankers association issues its weekly tally of home loan applications today. The 2016 Motor Vehicle sales are released some time after 11am today.

On January 3rd 2017,  shares today’s potential market drivers: The Institute for Supply Management releases its manufacturing index for December. The Commerce releases its construction spending numbers for November.  Spending in construction has been rising modestly in recent months.
