  • #28 – Awaken Your Essence with Michael Costuros, Entrepreneur’s Awakening
Michael’s work can be summarized in one sentence: He helps entrepreneurs to close the gap from where they are to where they want to be. In his words: “You can take a rowboat to Hawaii or you can fly a jet to Hawaii.” Michael architects transformative experiences which place entrepreneurs in the cockpit to immediately arrive at their full potential.
Through his coaching company, “Entrepreneur’s Awakening,” he leads 10 dayretreats to Machu Picchu where entrepreneurs participate in traditional Peruvian ayahuasca ceremonies. Michael then goes to work to remove the obstructing mindsets, beliefs and fears living in their mental blind spots, so that the great inner leader will effortlessly emerge.
This was an intimate, paradigm-shifting discussion with one of the most respected entrepreneurial coaches of Silicon Valley. Just a few of the things we discuss...
How Michael founded and sold a startup with 60 employees and millions in revenue in 3 years by pursuing his passion
How Michael was able to attract everything he wanted in life personally and professionally
How to create external freedom by first creating internal freedom, and act from your core
The strengths and weaknesses of entrepreneurs, and how to remove the obstacles that hold you back
An intentional mind exercise technique to set yourself up for success
Why your “true purpose” is simply icing on the cake; and your “essence” is the cake - and ultimately much more important.
    And much more!
Hope you enjoy this awesome interview! If you are interested in joining Michael's Machu Picchu Medicine retreat, because it is invite only, please friend him on Facebook and message him asking for the info and sharing what inspires your interest.

  • #27 – Running to Life with Youjin Do, One Way Ticket
One Way Ticket: A Digital Nomad Documentary <== Link to Youjin's crowdfunding campaign! (digitalnomaddocumentary.com)
Fleeing a home life of abuse and repression, Youjin ran away from her home in South Korea the day of her high school graduation to start a new life on her own outside of Korea. She started first in China, then traveled to Australia and the US, working and traveling around the world.
“If I didn’t step out of my comfort zone, all the miracles that have happened in my life for the last 7 years would not exist.” -Youjin Do
Flash forward several years, and she's now working on creating a documentary to shed light on the digital nomad lifestyle!
Only a few days left to go:
One Way Ticket: A Digital Nomad Documentary (digitalnomaddocumentary.com)
Youjin bucks the stereotype that you need to be a white, single, male from a Western country - the rising community of digital nomads features people of all walks of life, nationalities, and backgrounds!
Youjin's work is all about bringing greater awareness to the digital nomad movement, and showing people that there truly is a better way to work and live. Digital nomads, often mistaken as running away from life - are really running TO life, and Youjin is leading the way in making this idea stick.
Please help support Youjin get this documentary off the ground and crowdfund her dream! Every donation helps: digitalnomaddocumentary.com (<== share this link!)

  • #26 Working and Traveling Around the World with Jonny Blair, Don’t Stop Living
Jonny Blair left his home of Northern Ireland 11 years ago and has been on a journey around the world ever since. His current mission is to visit 100 countries - and he’s fast closing in on that mark, having visited all seven continents and now 99 countries - just ONE shy of his goal.
Since he left school in 1997, Jonny has worked at over 50 different jobs, all around the world. Barman, ice cream seller, telephone banking adviser, English teacher, PR rep, broccoli harvester, pyrethrum planter, ferry steward, and a load more, it’s safe to say he’s pretty much done it all!
Jonny Blair visiting Antarctica for the first time.
I’m curious to know what he’s learned as a result of these experiences, and am super excited to have him on the show!
Jonny is such a genuine and down-to-earth guy, and one of the most authentic people I’ve talked to. When you listen to him speak you can tell he’s being genuine. Along with a charming Irish accent, his words carry the strength of conviction based on tons of accumulated experience. I took over three pages of notes during our chat, so you can tell I got a lot of takeaways from this interview.
Some of the things we discuss:
What it’s been like to travel to so many places and work in so many different random jobs, and his advice for anyone to do the same
Jonny's work ethic - and what's been driving him on throughout the years
“A drop stitch in life’s tapestries” - how Jonny applies his motto to challenges and setbacks
Why actions express priorities - and how to create the right type of forward action
How to get everything you want - the entire process broken down into steps
    And a whole lot more!
I thoroughly enjoyed this one-on-one conversation with Jonny and the chance to delve in about his experiences and pick his brain for insights.

  • #25 – Lifestyle Hacks with How to Live for Free Author, Deepak Tailor
To support a backpacking trip through 25+ different countries, Deepak turned to online business to support himself. He turned to affiliate marketing and set up over 70 different niche websites, but found that the impact was very low and the work wasn't very fulfilling.
While traveling in Singapore, he set up a muse business selling spy cameras which provided automated passive income and funded his travels.
Seeking more impact, his travel experiences inspired his current UK-based business, Latest Free Stuff, which now receives over 400k hits per month, and has over 75,000 email subscribers. He also hosts a "Four Hour Workweek Meetup" in London, which counts over 1,500 "lifestyle designers" amongst its members.
Finally, Deepak has also penned an interesting and unique book called "How to Live for Free" which coins the term "freeganism" and introduces all kinds of unconventional tips to get the things you want at little or no cost.
A worthy contribution to the "Sharing Economy," the book teaches how to get private drivers for free, sail the world for free, work out at gyms for free, and much more. One of the most fascinating stories from the book is about a man, Richard Sowa, who built his own island near Cancun.
"How to Live for Free" is a paradigm-shifting book, so I invited Deepak onto the podcast to talk about it, as well as share his own experiences with listeners.
This was a fascinating and interesting discussion with a true lifestyle designer, traveler, and location-independent entrepreneur and author. Enjoy!

  • #24 – Seize the Day with Trisha Velarmino, PS I’m on My Way
    "Stop making excuses!!"
    -Trisha's advice.
She’s the travel queen of the Philippines.
Trisha Velarmino is a full-time traveling Filipina woman on a mission to travel to all visa free countries for Filipinos. She started out with very little money but has worked her way around the world, often volunteering for free food and accommodation. During her travels she's collected a lifetime's worth of experiences, learning how to eat, cook, speak and live like the locals.
Originally from Subic Bay, Trisha has become a breakout hit around the web through her writings on her popular travel blog, PS I’m on My Way.
Trisha also offers one on one “travel coaching” via Skype: where she gives consulting to people on how to volunteer or teach abroad, or make a living as a digital nomad.
Trisha is a very inspiring and worldly woman, and this episode is full of her unique brand of motivation and counsel. I don’t usually laugh as much as I did during this interview, but Trisha Velarmino is in a league of her own.
    Topics discussed in the interview:
How she's managed to travel full-time (even after she arrived in South America with no plans, and only $80 and a backpack)
The low points and the struggles
Where her confidence comes from (hint: it's the way she sees the world)
The dangers of trying to impress other people that she learned from a background in fashion
Tips for listeners to break free and live the "digital nomad" lifestyle
    And a whole lot more...
    Enjoy the interview!
