Apologies for still being the only voice on the podcast again, but the holiday season complicated some recording plans. Everything should be back on track for next week and the coming weeks after. And in terms of news, the flyers have been fairly silent. Now sure they've played some hockey and some of it was good and some of it was bad, so that does mean there are things to talk about. Like how about that Carter Hart kid right? What is happening with this defense? Do we maybe have a chance? The only thing we can truly do is experience the new year, wait, and see.

Docter Phd here with the next edition of The Orange Line. Sadly Matt couldn't join me today but my guess, Nigel, was able to fill in and give his thoughts on the past week. The Flyers haven't been giving their fans much to be optimistic about which is leading some of us to start questioning the staff involved. Where do Nigel and I see this next week going? I guess you'll just have to listen and find out.

Welcome back for another episode of The Orange Line! Nigel comes back to follow up on where we left off last week. The Flyers had a trip out west that looked to be a proving point for them. We talk about how these games played out and what we could possibly have to look forward to in the future.

And yes, I do know that this recording is pretty irrelevant because of what happened on Monday. But that just shows how fast things can change with this team! Maybe this will be the Flyers 2018-19 version of a 10 game losing streak into a 10 game winning streak?

Lets talk about the Flyers management, why don't we? This is surely the biggest storyline to develop so far this season, and I have been itching to get down to a discussion of the recent events. Hextall is finally gone and it seems like the Flyers are looking to the future with some hope. How will it all turn out? Who knows! Boy has a lot happened in a week. Well... not in terms of actual hockey, but this years "Battle of Pennsylvania" storyline has just started and I am very excited. The Pittsburgh Penguins are, what I would say, the Flyers biggest rival and it seems like every year the two teams seem to play great games against each other. Whether they are slumping or heating up, the teams seem to hate each other and I love to watch the results.
