Zechariah is all about moving forward. The work of rebuilding the Temple had stalled after Haggai’s prophetic word and now God sends Zechariah to encourage Israel to endure in rebuilding the Temple. But the first and foremost responsibility they had was to begin with God Himself. They were called to be different than their fathers—who neglected God and were greatly punished for it. They must begin rebuilding the Temple with their own return to God Himself. God was to be their great foundation in all they do moving forward.

Who is qualified to come to Jesus and be saved? What does it mean to actually be a Christian? If you come to Jesus, will He ever refuse to save you? We might not say it out loud, but often our hearts doubt the answers the Bible gives to these questions.
