Listen Later

The wait is finally over. The "Rally on the Colors" Podcast has returned, this time with the long awaited episode about the Bureau of Military Information. In this episode, Bill and Steve, give the B.M.I. a unique deep dive as they cover the creation of the B.M.I. following Hooker's assumption of command of the Army of the Potomac in January 1863. A brief overview of the organization of the B.M.I. is followed by a short biography of it's commander, George Sharpe. Then, Bill and Steve, break down how the B.M.I. assembled it's intelligence through signals, open source and human intelligence gathering. If you wanted to learn more about the "how" and "why" behind the B.M.I. and not just what is written in books, then this is the episode for you.
