In Part I, the early manifestations of the Soviet failure were discussed, especially the separation of the empire's Jews from the worker's paradise and the Jackson-Vanik Amendment. Part II deals with the USSR's dissolution and the mentality of Mikhail Gorbachev. Drunk on the praise of western oligarchs, Gorbachev let loose the worse forces in the Soviet empire in his “liberalization.” Starting in 1990-1991, Russia, which had survived invasions, genocide, liquidations and mass terror for many centuries, was in danger of total dissolution only when it came into contact with Liberalism.
