Mrs. K brings 22 years of experience as an occupational therapist to her listeners. And no, she doesn't teach people how to get a job. (Occupational therapists get that response a lot when telling people what they do for a living). Rather, Mrs. K has helped people of all ages in many different settings overcome barriers in their lives stemming from disabilities, injuries, cognitive deficits and/or mental health issues to live and enjoy life despite those barriers.
The OT Corner with Mrs. K is an interview and information series chocked full of ideas that will help parents, teachers, and caregivers enrich a child's development. As a school based occupational therapist, parents, teachers and caregivers always ask Mrs. K, "What more can I do for motor development?" This podcast aims to provide an answer to that question with discussion and interviews with some of Mrs. K's co-workers and colleagues , as well as childhood development experts. Along with intriguing interviews, Mrs. K will present activities that promote building a strong foundation from which a child can build upon for sensory motor development.
