  • Episode 2: We Said We Weren’t Going to Talk About This

We said we weren’t going to talk about work… but here we are.

With fellowship application season approaching, we decided this was one work-related conversation worth having. In this episode, we’re sharing what we actually did during the pharmacy fellowship application process—not as a formula for getting a fellowship, but as two former fellows looking back on our own experiences.

We talk about how we chose functional areas, therapeutic areas, locations, and the number of programs we applied to, along with what we considered when looking at larger pharmaceutical companies versus smaller biotech environments.

We also share what helped us during application season, from networking and attending webinars to staying organized and approaching interviews with confidence while still being ourselves.

And maybe most importantly, we talk about what we wish we had known: zoom out, don’t let one outcome consume you, and remember that the people you’re interviewing alongside today could be your future colleagues tomorrow.

  • Episode 1: More Than Pharmacists

We’re pharmacists, former fellows, and friends — but that’s only part of who we are.

In our first episode of The Other 16 Hours, we’re introducing ourselves, sharing how we met and why we decided to start this podcast, and talking about what “the other 16 hours” means to us. We talk about our PharmD fellowship journeys, life outside of work, what we’re currently training for and learning, and why we believe ambition doesn’t have to become your entire identity.

Welcome to The Other 16 Hours. We’re so glad you’re here.
