Kess brings to light the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) maternity block issues leading to avoidable maternal and infant mortality (20.54). The Roommies discuss similar situations around Ghanaian hospitals and decline in health facilities. Is the government to blame?

Cel is missing and the roomies want chocolate (1.04). Keni is this week's guest, she tells us more about herself and what inspired her writing (2.10). Kess and AJ are getting married! Not to each other though (09:00). AJ tells us about Mabel Suglo, the young entrepreneur (11.20). Kess also brings up more innovation in the Nigerian women crotcheting plastics (14.20). Keni shares the story of a robbery that ends in a most bizarre way (20.45). In the room today, the roomies discuss gender and professions (30.39). Are there defined professions for specific genders? There are more (unintentional?) gender specific jobs than they realized (33.34) and the roomies give their take on this. They also reckon they could do Cyril's job as producer, bye Cyril lol.(39.20).

TOR guest Donald, brings along a friend (Gavin) when invited by Cel, Vee and Kess to fill in for AJ.

The Roommates discuss the fashion/modeling industry and how it's embracing African culture and looks for What's Poppin (4.30). Vee brings up hairy scenarios (11.55), and Gavin admits he would SCAR a woman's mufasa doing a kitkat! Lol (12.43). Donald's not keen on hair anywhere except on the head ( 14.30). Gavin reveals his food and hairy body parts fetish (Nutella!) (19.45). Cel beats around the bush, pun intended (20.28) and Kess would be offended if denied due to a rainforest situation (24.30).

Cel wonders who defines standards of beauty with shaven legs and arms (35.16). Vee shares her experience of shaving off an ex's back and chest (1.00.33)

There's a guest roomie in the other room! AJ sublets without informing the roomies but girls fall fast for the guest. Dzyadzorm introduces herself to the roomies and gets invited to stay forever. On what's popping, Vee talks about #keepthechangebae (4.30). Cel gushes about Nigerian Twitter and shouts out her college roomies (cheating on us are we?) (4.46). The girls contemplate what it means to go on a date (10.39).

Otiko Djaba is a topic in the room again (14.07) with the roomies weighing in on her controversial statement about women's clothes and rape. Kess puts the Ghana police on blast and the roomies don't hold back (38.06) and Dzyadzorm sums it all up the way only she could (59.40)

After a week away, the Roomies catch up on What's Poppin' (1:25). Cel swoons about Zimbabwe's community Friendship Benches, where grannies offer a little more than just cookies and warm milk. AJ urges more women to provide safe spaces for other women to share their personal struggles (03:10) and Vee gives a few pointers (hint hint: it's much closer than you think).

Kess puts the spotlight on Johns Hopkins' first black female neurosurgeon (4:38) and Cel almost ignites a Ghana-Nigeria war...but this time, it's not over jollof rice (5:15). Vee professes her love for Nigerian men (5:30) while AJ sneaks in a Grey's Anatomy reference (06:00).

Also, guess which Ghanaian actress featured in a Marvel Comics show? AJ gives us the scoop (6:13). And it looks like this African city hasn't been quite what Vee expected (7:24).

Kess is reunited with the roommates after a week away. & What? No souvenir from her travels?!

For What’s Poppin’, the roomies talk personal style. AJ highlights our 2nd lady Mrs Samira Bawumia, Ghana’s latest style icon(1:35). Kess sees nothing wrong with her choice of attire during last week’s Independence Day festivities (2:50), Vee feels her personal stylist deserves most of the props (3:17) but Cel disagrees, shouting out Mrs B. for her taste in stylist (4:34) & proclaims her #styleGoals (6:27).AJ states a fact (7:09). Cel brings up a suicide case in recent news (9:54) & suggests change in how mental health is handled.AJ points out that mental health issues are nothing new (10:42) & looks forward to policies reflecting this (12:29). Kess talks about the stigma associated with mental health services (12:46) & Vee offers condolences to those affected. Cel feels hearing people’s stories on depression will have a positive impact(15:44). The atmosphere is heavy. 

The roommates woosah! (16:13).

Vee brings up a Twitter thread. (16:30)  —  Cel calls it “sincere & raw” & AJ appreciates the honesty of it (20:04).Kess wonders about marrying age (20:09) & the roommates discuss the societal pressure to get married. (23:23) AJ asks, “Who should we marry?” (24:20). The roomies talk about double standards (26:55) & cultivation (28:06)! Kess shares her personal experience with pressure to get married (28:10). Cel shares similar rhetoric (28:40) whilst Vee brings up this generation’s BellaNaija aspirations (29:20). Cel calls for better prep for the reality of marriage from our parents(30:57) and AJ kills the fairy tale happily ever after (31:40). The roomies end the show talking about age gaps (33:55).

Vee, Cel and AJ have on a special guest filling in for Kess. Lara is an advocate for African Women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, using her online platform Levers In Heels.

For What’s Popping, AJ brings up Viola Davis’ big win at the Oscars (1.48) and the whole Moonlight-La La Land mix up saga. Lara thinks Viola’s speech to cast members was more emotional than to her hubby! ooh?! (2.20). AJ is mad at the aftermath of the Oscars blunder — Moonlight having to share the spotlight with La La Land on news, headlines, etc. (4.15) Can’t Black people ever win?! Vee doesn’t understand why Warren Beatty didn’t get as much backlash for the Oscars as Steve Harvey did for Miss Universe 2015 (5.09) Could it be a race issue? Cel highlights the academic achievement of Dr. Ellen Boakye, who swept 10! awards from the University of Ghana Medical School (5.45), and the efforts of Dr. Ayorkor Korsah who was featured on the cover of Forbes Woman Africa talking about Robotics and its future in Ghana (7.35). Vee applauds the increasing number of women in government in Ghana (9.05), while AJ wonders if there’s more to it than just female representation (10.30), but Lara believes people are starting to understand the role of women in decision-making and acknowledges women in leadership roles in the corporate world (10.59).

Vee’s love for African movies though! Cel urges Ghanaians excelling to actively mentor young ones in the society, schools, etc (14.07). Vee wonders what we have to show for 60 Years of Independence (19.26); Cel thinks we don’t highlight enough all the women who contributed to Ghana’s Independence (20.31) and AJ believes we should tell their story (21.29).
