Local mountain biking legend Jerry Duran joins us on the most recent episode of the Outdoor Citizen podcast.

Shawna Lease is the city of Alamosa’s new outdoor recreation supervisor and active member of Alamosa Volunteer Search and Rescue. We dive into what the outdoors mean to her and the community and why it’s important for the city to have a dedicated outdoor recreation department.

A recent transplant to the Valley, Muñoz has had a warm, high-elevation welcome to Colorado. As a member of the San Luis Valley Great Outdoor’s Great Outdoor Action Team, or GOATs, his office is often above treeline. As crew lead, he finds himself in a regular office more often than he’d like.
