The Outliers

With one of the Outliers out of town getting some ink done we are happy to bring you another classic Fanmob episode with special guest Sean Brown! Who is that, you might ask. Back when we were doing Fanmob our cohost Jumma Jahdid brought in a friend to discuss some gaming topics such as PC or console, Xbox One, and lots of other video game related stuff. I'm sure there is some comics talk in there too. I think the actual Age of Ultron comic was wrapping up at the time. So enjoy this throw back and we'll see you next week!

It has been awhile since we have mentioned anything Doctor Who related. So this week we're taking a look at a classic Doctor Who serial from the 1970's featuring the original 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Doctors: The Three Doctors. This four part story opened the shows 10th season during the 3rd Doctor's run. Lots of milestones and some behind the scenes information on the story and how it came about. As always we have some current news for you too: PewDiePie, Rooster Teeth, and Loot Crate. We're gonna find out what they're all up to.

Last week we talked about glitches in the matrix of life and this week we're dealing with what appears to be an actual real life hack that may have been perpetrated against one of us. Oh the irony in that! So we have a personal rant that some of you might learn something from right up front. After we cool down we talk some TV: Carnival Row and 13 Reasons Why. Then we get HYPED for what we're considering the next big super.... villain movie: JOKER.

We're back from the depths of the internet with a jam packed episode covering the latest pop culture news: New Marvel TV shows, say bye to Spider-Man, Cyberpunk 2077 changes, Funimation voice actors behaving badly, and more. Then we put on our lab coats and try to figure out if we're living in a simulated universe and whats with all the strange everyday happenings. We get into some real high end science folks, so if you can decipher this stuff better than we did feel free to provide feedback!

It's that time of year again... Silicon Valley Comic Con 2019 is happening and half of the Outliers made it to the show, as usual. We bring you this years SVCC experience. Then we get into some serious allegations that surfaced after this years Evo pro gaming tournament, a little Borderlands 3 news, indie dev studio Unfold Games declines Epic's exclusivity offer, and even more gaming news out of the FGC after a Smash Bros character is banned from tournamanet play. We're getting to the nuts and bolts of these issues, so put your news anchor blazers on folks, because this week's full of it.

Ok everyone, even though we said no episode this week we have another intermission episode to hold you over until we get back behind the mics. All this is for good reason and we'll be letting you know on the show pretty quick here what we have going on behind the scenes! so for now... enjoy a couple of offerings on us. Can't go wrong with Batman Beyond and Tool.

It's tea time! Grab your cup and get ready for some Evo 2019 action as we get straight to the point with this year's Dragon Ball FighterZ news. Spoilers... there's a new champ! We're diving in as it unfolds. And in other realms of video gaming moves are being made. Most notable is Ninja jumping ship and leaving Twitch to stream exclusively on Mixer! What the hell is Mixer? Good question! We take a look at that and what the big move might mean for streamers and the platforms alike.

San Diego Comic Con came and went again. This year was especially news worthy with many big announcements being made at the annual pop culture celebration. We have our favorite stories on tap for this week's show. Spoilers: Marvel killed it so now we gotta discuss what the next few years of MCU has in store and why it should be Avengers vs X-Men. Up front we got some art talk and a bit of science news to offer. Its a packed episode, so strap in!

We're back with a new, full episode this week! Adam is here and we're catching up on the last couple of weeks and how The Outliers expansion is going. Of course we have some Batman villain news, Birds of Prey movie news, Yakuza video game remakes, Netflix recommendations, and Scarlett Johansson and her no holds barred approach to taking any and every top billed role she can. Plus: Silicon Valley Comic Con 2019 hype!

Our host says ITunes uses this section to pull keywords... so here goes: we may talk about comics, movies, television, video games, history, science, technology, PlayStation, Xbox, anime, cartoons, youtube, books, the internet, pop culture, sub culture, food, work, problems, ourselves, other podcasts, geek stuff, mundane stuff, work, or whatever tickles our fancy. Hope you enjoy. Hit us at [email protected] or @TheOutliersPod on Twitter.

I know we said no episode this week. But hey, here is a mini-sode to keep you all abreast of where we're at with things. Honestly we both felt kinda bad not posting anything up on the feed. So yeah. We'll be back next week with a full episode. Happy 4th of July weekend everyone, have a little Spider-Man and Jessica Jones!
