PART 1 OUT OF 3 OF SIRADA'S EPISODE
This episode we talk about:
What it's like being a woman in engineering
What to expect in your first year
How to handle culture shock and racism
Feeling intimidated and countering these feelings by connecting with mentors
Strict Asian parenting
Party culture at Western University
This episode we interview Sirada, a 2015 Magee alumnus! Although Sirada is now a technology consultant working at one of the largest tech consulting firms in the world, she graduated from Western University with a Bachelors in Engineering Science in 2020. Her experience working at 3 different engineering, tech, and business related co-ops/internships provide us with invaluable information for our university careers (looking at you, STEM students!).
More about Sirada can be found on our website: mageeoutliers.com

Thank you Sirada - for dedicating valued time towards this project, for being so open to sharing your lessons with us, and for guiding me and others as a mentor.
