When Jesus was on His way back to Jerusalem, He had two of His disciples to go get a colt that had never been rode and to bring it to Him. When they brought it back, they put their clothes on it and He rode into Jerusalem. As He was riding, they put their clothes and palm trees in His path, whereas we e get Palm Sunday, which was approximately a week before His crucifixion. On the way, they started to think about the mighty works that He had done, and broke out into a loud praise.

Pastor Dobbs will be teaching us how be determined to praise God for He is a God that has done mighty works in our life. It is not about a single event, but a Christ-Minded attitude to be determined to Praise our Jesus!

Gideon was about to enter into the battle that would deliver the children of Israel, but before he went, the Lord told him to tell the ones who were fearful and afraid that they could go back. So twenty two thousand left. The Lord told Gideon he had too many so He tested them and they were down to 300. When the 300 attacked under the Lord's direction, they defeated the Midianites. The ones who were fearful and afraid became courageous and helped them.

Gideon was in a conversion with God and it would seem like he was building his confidence and trust in what God was telling him. It was quite a big difference from where Gideon started from to where God was taking him, but the Lord did something that I believe helps every believer who has a relationship with God. The children of Israel had gotten to the point that they were practicing evil in the sight of the Lord so he delivered them into the hand of the Midianites for seven years. After the seven years, the children of Israel repented so the Lord sent a Word to Gideon calling him a mighty man of valor and that the Lord was with him. He also guaranteed him a victory over the Midianites as one man which tells us that the Lord was going to fight this battle through Gideon and the children of Israel. Nehemiah had the task of rebuilding the wall. It was quite a task considering that Sanballat and Tobia was mocking them. When we are working on getting our life together and becoming Christ-minded there will be those who oppose us and want to cause us harm. Despite the opposers, Nehemiah and the people had a mind to work so they finished the assignment that God had for them. In our life, there will be those who will try to distract us from accomplishing God's will for our life.
