The secret to being interesting is to be interested first.

Maybe There is someone in your life that you wish had a higher opinion of you, or at least liked you better than they seem to. 

Maybe you got off on the wrong foot, but now you can see this person's good qualities. 

And if you are trying to attract their attention and make a new impression, are you sure you're approaching it in the best way possible?

 If you're trying to impress, that might not be the warmest opening. You’re probably coming off as trying too hard or too arrogant. 

But if you show a genuine interest in the individual, they may see that warm, caring side of you more easily. 

Be interested and ask good questions.

Can you hold off on making any big purchases or expensive commitments of any kind, even if you have the money? 

There could be a few reasons for this. 

Upon consideration, you could discover that you need something different than you think you need. Or, you may find that more and better options will become available. 

You may even find out that you don't need anything at all - and it would be a disappointment to spend or splurge if you are only going to wind up regretting it.

 Are you truly spending according to your top priorities? If you're not answering this question with precise certainty- you're not.

I know I’m a salesman and it sounds like I speak against my nature, but if you’re telling me that you want to become the elite version of you and you spend more money in entertainment, booze, drugs, clothes, restaurants and vacations then self-development tools, it’s hard for me to believe that this is your true intention. 

If you’re business leader and owner and you're telling me that you want to attract loyal dream clients for life who would become raving fans of your brand, but instead of investing the time and resources to truly connect with them and offer them unique hospitality, you’re looking for a creative way to attract fresh leads through manipulative advertising…

If you’re a business leader and you’re telling me that you’re “people’s first” type, but never took the time to really get to know your employees and after talking to each one of them for 5 minutes I know more about their personal life, than you after 5 years of being their employer….

….And when you want to hire people - "You just need bodies, you'll train them" and they quit on you after a week or a month, because you chose NOT to invest in your dream team and what’s essential and necessary to them, as far as environment, tools and technology to help them develop, and become more efficient, but instead you invest in exotic cars and extravagant vacations or expensive country club subscriptions to flex your success.

No judgment here. You deserve your success! Success is a very lousy teacher.

You chose what success looks like to you. 

But, if you’re not getting the results you ultimately wanted, take a look at what you’re spending your time and resources on. 

Intentions are something we show through our actions, not through our words. Sometimes we repeatedly say  what we want to see as far as culture, but we invest in the wrong things. 

GIVE yourself an honest audit of what your vision is and see if you’re still investing all of your resources and time accordingly to GET the desired and ultimate results.

Do you believe in love at first sight? 

You may not believe in love at first sight. 
Maybe You are just too realistic for that concept. 

Maybe It’s not that you don't believe in love. Maybe You do. You know that love is a cornerstone of life, and you understand it is a great source of joy. 

But the idea that you can recognize someone or even something instantly - may seem a bit far-fetched to you and a little irresponsible. 

But, if you want someone very specific. You pray to meet someone with certain qualities and values and not necessarily get stuck on the physical appearance (keep that open) - you may have a sensation that something is meant to be when you meet someone who matches what you’re looking for. 

Whether this involves a romantic love or dream employee or client or the powerful attraction to an opportunity - it is the real thing. When you know who they are, you attract them! 

Don't dismiss it just because it is something that is new to you. Go ahead and try. Do the work upfront. 

You must have the conditions and non-negotiables and specific values of who you want in your life before you recognize them and fall in love with them at first sight. 

Most importantly, before all that, You must become the person they would recognize and fall in love with. So, it’s not just ordering the perfect match. It’s the journey of self-development and maturity that we must go on to attract our perfect love!

Maybe you’re not feeling especially fortunate at the moment, even though you probably have quite a lot to be happy about.

👈Sometimes I feel like I’m traveling backward with one of my goals. 

👍At first it seemed like I was getting great things done and making excellent progress, but now it seems like I am simply revisiting old problems.

A few awkward or perhaps overly emotional moments?

When our life is pretty good, we always have one small thing standing out that we wish was very different. 

You probably tell yourself that you could just appreciate what you already have and let go of whatever it is that isn't working. That’s logical, and that’s what I would normally recommend. But, if we’re still spending energy thinking about it - maybe it’s a sign that we can see it from the other side. 

Maybe you don't have to give up!

Don’t stop now! 

Not because of perfectionism, but maybe because this small detail could unlock more energy, or if you let go and surrender to it now, it might come back later on as a regret. 

This could be a relationship that isn't working, or your current lifestyle is not what you envisioned when you were 5, or some venture you tried turned out to be a disappointment - and you are here, and that simply means there is still hope for that. And now, you actually have time to focus on that small thing. 

My message today is - don't give up.

Focus on progress, not emotions.

15 years ago, when I started my first real sales job, my first question was :

 “What is the most important skill I need to develop?” 

My boss answered “Thick skin” 

I didn’t even know what it meant back then….

How thick is my skin today? 

After surviving and thriving in an exciting sales career and running my own business for almost 7 years, what do you think? 

To those who know me - even to those who know me very well - that answer might be "very thick." 

Yes, that's true. 

But what does not always show is that way deep down I have a very sweet, sensitive, compassionate side. 

I am now faced with an attempt to achieve something that will require a very thick skin. 

I will be criticized. I will be blamed if things don't work out well. 

Can I take it? 

The answer is YES! 

That tough outer shell can compensate for that deep river of sweetness! 

Don’t get fooled! I can handle it! 

God is besides me and my confidence comes from Him! 

GIVE effort to patience in adversity and all the Glory to God and GET the training and education you need to handle even bigger problems and extend your threshold on how much you can take!
