The Overflow Podcast

At the center of Jesus’ command to make disciples is God’s desire to teach us to obey him. But we cannot learn anything we’re convinced we already know. In this message, Pastor Chuck looks at the 5 stages a potter takes in taking dirt from the ground and molding it into a masterpiece. This is EXACTLY what God desires to do in us, and all it takes for our complete transformation is “humble moldability.”

It can be all too easy in the modern “Christian” life to fill our calendars and our souls with all kinds of good work that unknowingly distances our souls from the beauty and simplicity of walking with Jesus. In this message, Pastor Chuck shares the first invitation in Jesus’ call of discipleship: to be submerged and surrounded in the Father’s love!

Pastor Chuck, Pastor Len, and Jon Ward are BACK from the mission to South Africa and here to share all God is doing on the other side of the world, our wide open invitation for partnership, and where His Spirit is inviting us to yield so that we move from frantic to fruitful, and from chaos to delight! Love is Slow. God is Faithful. And the Harvest is Plentiful!

There are hundreds of kingdoms that have risen and fallen throughout history. But there is one and only one that claims to be an everlasting kingdom and it is the Kingdom of God. Pastor Erin teaches that there are five everlasting inheritances that belong to those who call the King of Kings their Father: Rest, a Voice, Passion, Purpose, and Power. Which one do you need to receive today?

"Every space where you sense separation between the HOPE God has spoken and the HEALING you’re presently holding is an invitation to restoration." In this message, we go to John 21 and join Peter on the beach. Though Jesus has raised from the dead, Peter has returned to what is predictable and familiar, no longer sure where he ‘fits' in the bigger story. Jesus’ reinstatement of Peter is an invitation to us to receive RESTORATION, so that we go forth as ministers of RECONCILIATION. If you’ve been hurt, wounded, or disoriented in the days you’re in, this is a message for YOU!

The greatest enemy to the fully surrendered life for Jesus is the death of wonder. We’ve all had our hearts broken in ways that make it hard to hope again. In this message, Pastor Chuck shares 4 responses of those who witnessed Jesus’ resurrection: some wrestled toward wonder; some chose to re-learn wonder; some refused wonder altogether…but every heart who saw Him for who He was couldn’t keep wonder to themselves. In living hope, they CLUNG to Jesus and RAN to tell their brothers, their sisters, their mothers, their fathers…their friends. It’s time we follow them in wonder once again.

We want our lives to really count, but if we are being honest, way too many of us feel exhausted, disconnected, and ineffective, as we continue at a pace that is unsustainable. In this message, Pastor Chuck returns to the very first Palm Sunday with a clarion call back to the SIMPLE Gospel that refreshes, restores, and transforms our souls and our cities.
