The Lord is our Creator and Controller, and has laid down some basic rules for us to follow; the first and foremost being to LOVE Him with all of our hearts, souls and minds, and then to show Him the reverence and honour to which He is entitled. The worst thing a human being can do is get haughty and arrogant with Almighty God, because He hates pride and arrogance with a passion, since it means we are declaring that we don't need Him. And that's just not true! We need the Lord for EVERYTHING in this world, and until we recognize that awesome fact, and behave like it, our lives will be even more miserable than they already are.
