The Owl’s Nest

Happy 4th, dear listener! In this episode, while I’m waiting for the fireworks to start, two films come to mind when I’m watching them: Independence Day on his 30th anniversary, and Top Gun on its 40th. I’ll also let you in on what I have done the day before involving the local choir.

Spring (Break) is in the air and so is March Madness! In this episode, I’m recommending 4 documentaries to watch during your vacation…or staycation!

In this episode, I talk about not the game, but the halftime halftime show in the commercials for this year’s Super Bowl, as well as share memories of my favorites, and talk about my excitement about the opening ceremonies of the 2026 Winter Olympics!

Time to close this year on a high note! In this episode, I talk about the people that we’ve lost that this year, what I look forward to in 2026, and I deliver a message of positivity towards the new year!

The Christmas season is in full swing in this episode as I talk with Taylor Coleman and Hollis Thompson throughout the entire time in the Perot Theater not just about the concert, but also The Nutcracker and A Charlie Brown Christmas!

I covered a lot of things on this show about Halloween throughout the years… But not about the spooky songs. In this episode, we celebrate a few milestones, two films and one long, running net work, then there’s a lot of

Fall is here, which means we have ourselves and anniversary! In this episode, I talk about one of the very first studio, shows ever, the NFL Today – from where it started to now, as well as the 30 for 30 documentary, the legend of Jimmy the Greek!

I know that summer is coming to an end, but take heart! There’s plenty of time before going back on campus! This episode I talk about 3 shows focusing on 3 soccer clubs: Necaxa, Birmingham City FC, and Campboasso FC and their celebrity owners (as well as the shows I’m currently watching!).

Happy Independence Day! In this episode, I not only talk about the first four episodes of the Amazon Prime series Countdown, also talk about recommended movies, shows, and events to watch and then a couple of trailers - Ballard for Amazon Prime, and Hip-Hop Was Born Here for Paramount Plus!

The countdown is on-not just about the NBA Draft-but also the Amazon Prime series of the same name. In this episode, I know only talk about the trailer that I reacted to countdown, but also another one called Ballard, which will come out next month, as well as talk about the NBA finals!
