In todays special episode we speak with Gill Bawler, Service Manager for Partnership Transformation to inform you of all of the key updates that have recently been published in the update to Working Together to Safeguard Children (2023) and the Information Sharing Guidance (2024).

Importantly we discuss the issue of consent to share information and when it is or isn't appropriate to seek consent, as well as the legal basis, and responsibility we all have, to seek and share information when this relates to protecting a child from harm.

Being a parent is tough, especially when you have a baby who won't stop crying.

Sadly over the last few years we've seen a huge rise in harm caused to young babies, so today we're joined by Father CoOrdinator with Dad Matters, Charlie Hull and Clinical Practice Educator for Public Health Nursing, Ellie Wylie to talk about how the ICON Strategy and resources can help practitioners engage with parents to help them cope with crying and protect their baby from harm.

In today's episode we hear first hand the devastating impact that abuse has on children and young people when we speak to a survivor of sexual abuse, who joins us to share her story to help us to learn how we can best support victims at the most critical times in their lives.

Importantly though, we also speak with Jodie and Ellie from Barnardos Phoenix Project, who work to support victims of sexual abuse recover from their trauma.
