By any other name the proposal for a Revolutionary Government is really just Charter Change, and it is part and parcel of the smoke and mirrors that this government is known for utilizing to make us lose sight of the things that just might be right in front of us.

Because it is no coincidence that Revolutionary Government is being talked about at this point in time. And neither is Duterte an innocent bystander to whom these extraordinary powers will simply be given.

So many things that make us go "What The Fuck?" at this government, but often enough we're like What The Hell? Such as when Duterte supporters push for a revolutionary government that is no revolution at all.

Let's talk about what it is we were distracted from today, as we ate that soundbite about Duterte's health, hook line sinker. Also: how do we fight against this enterprise of distraction that benefits no one but Duterte?

The answer is yes. None of this is futile. We talk about why.

This is the first episode for Mañanita Mondays, where we hope to discuss the kind of double standard that this Duterte government has lived off the past four years.

In this first Freakout Friday we talk about why the Duterte government's Covid-19 response worsens our anxiety and stress, over and above living in this time of pandemic.

Because all issues in the present are tied to a specific history that we need to understand in order to arm ourselves in the present battles we face. This throwback is on the Piston 6 and the jeepney phaseout.

This is the first episode on PAGASAph's daily conversation about issues of nation. For WTF Wednesdays' first installment, it's the anti-terror bill railroaded in Congress.
