The Paperback Podcast

In this episode I'm sharing why I decided to change directions with my business, what I'm doing now, how I've been able to go full-time with my books and *how* having a business has supported my growth as an author so far.

In this episode I'm sharing six common misconceptions I hear A LOT about traditional publishing and busting them based on my own personal experiences and knowledge in the industry.

You'll learn:

>> Why traditional publishing is NOT a good fit for authors who are more entreprenerial minded (and a better fit for those who are not).

>> How many sales are bestselling books actually generating? And is the royalty cut actually worth it?

>> Why you *do* actually end up paying when you traditionally publish (it's just not upfront).

>> Why you lose hundreds of thousands of dollars in potential sales when you traditionally publish.

>> Is it easier to get picked up by a publisher or an agent?

In this week's episode, I'm discussing the difference between book launching and evergreen marketing. Knowing the difference between the two can drastically improve your book marketing strategy.

You'll learn:

>> The four key things a launch strategy does to help you as an author.

>> How urgency and scarcity play into book launches to generate more income.

>> A case study: why Animal Crossing New Horizons caught on like wildfire and sold 13 million copies in the first six weeks (and how you can apply this to your book launches)
