Sometimes, it can be easy to view God as an abstract figure.  He's the God of the universe.  He's the one who sits in judgment over all of us.  He's the Lord.  We sometimes feel like there's a chasm between us and Him, even after we come to know Him as our Savior.  And sometimes, it can feel like we have to follow all the rules so we don't have bad things happen to us.  The truth, however, is that this view is incomplete and rather inaccurate.  Here, the Paradigm Switch discusses that while God is the Lord, He is also the Father, and what that means for our relationship with Him.

It is one of the most uncomfortable aspects of the faith.  Why is there a Hell?  What is its purpose?  Who goes there?  These can be difficult questions to handle in a conversation, especially with unbelievers, who might attack God's character because of Hell's existence.  Further, some are put off entirely by the faith, saying, "Why would I ever want to know a God as hateful as one who sends people to Hell?"  Others say that Hell is just one part of the story, that there's something else that needs to be taken into account when discussing Hell.  Here, the Paradigm Switch investigates the purpose of Hell, whether humans have always been destined to end up there, and whether there is any truth to the claim that the existence of Hell is just part of the story and there's another side to look into.

The topic of horoscopes is becoming more popular within our culture and society. Appearing as harmless fun that predicts your personality traits and behaviors due to the month of your birth. Horoscopes provide an assurance of the unexpected future to some people and provides meaning to their purpose and identity here on the Earth. Others think that looking to the stars for meaning is not as innocent as it appears.  Here in this episode the Paradigm Switch examines and debates whether we as Believers can view horoscopes as harmless fun or not. 

Prayer is an important part of a Believer's life, but unfortunately, too many Christians see it as a religious ceremony than a heavenly legally activity. Prayer is a spiritual concept and has specific rules just like within a courthouse.  Whenever we make a petition to our government we hope to win our case. Prayer is our legal petitioning to the King of the Universe for provision and justice that we need. Here, the Paradigm Switch looks into the how through prayer we can win our case in the heavenly courtroom!

We all have goals in life.  We all want to be successful.  We'd like that job promotion or we'd like to find a way to go on that cool vacation.  Ambition can be a useful tool to help focus us and give us motivation to keep moving forward, but it can easily be twisted into something dark, leading to terrible misdeeds.  Here, the Paradigm Switch examines how ambition can become perverted and discusses ways to be on guard against this.

Have you ever wondered how God created the universe? When humans create, oftentimes we see what we create in our mind's eye, or our imagination, before creating it. Seeing as we are made in the image of God, it raises the question of whether God imagined all the universe in His eye before going forward with His plan for creation.  A common stereotype in today's more rational, scientific, and logic-driven world is that imagination is silly.  It's all just daydreaming and there are other things to do.  But if imagination is important in creation, should it not be encouraged?  Here, the Paradigm Switch discusses the importance of imagination and how it can actually be a double-edged sword.

After Jesus fed the crowd of 5,000 that same crowd came looking for Him.  On the surface they seemed to be looking for Him because they were His Disciples.  Jesus exposed that they weren't His servants but only sought after Him for their own personal benefit.  Which brings the question would you remain faithful to Christ even if it seemed like he failed you? In the United States today, there are churches that have tens of thousands of members.  They are called “megachurches”.  However, there is a stigma attached to these “megachurches” that says they are unreliable, they are filled with false teachings, they have bad pastors, and they are leading people astray.  Is this true?  Are megachurches by default places of false gospel?  Is there some sort of inherent corruption to large churches?  Or is this stigma wrong?  Is it grossly exaggerated?  Are megachurches truly bad?  Here, the Paradigm Switch will examine these questions and determine whether there is any truth to the stigma that megachurches are inherently corrupt.
