Welcome everyone! Today we are reading I Corinthians!

Paul's letter starts with some basic introductions. Hey! Paul here. What up, Romans? As it turns out, Paul's never been to Rome, but he wants to go. Really, really badly. He's sending this letter ahead of him as a way of introducing himself… and of sharing lots (and we mean lots) of theological goodies. Paul's big concern is Jesus. He died so we could live the good life with God. All we have to do is believe in him and all our dreams will come true. It's only been twenty years since Jesus died, and not everyone is faithing it up quite yet. Come on, guys. Get with the program. Paul is especially worried about the Jewish people. See, Paul's a Jew himself, and he believes that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah and the continuation of all Jewish life and thought. But not every single Jew accepts this. Paul spends this entire letter struggling with the idea that non-believing Jews can't possibly be on God's good side. But he also can't quite shake the feeling that since they're God's chosen peeps, the Big Guy is gonna do something for them. Paul sure has his fingers crossed. There is a silver lining to all this non-believing, though. Because the Jewish people aren't all cool with Jesus, God has moved onto recruiting the Gentiles. Paul's kind of like the apostle to the Gentiles, so he's pretty psyched about this.  The Gentile-Christians in Rome can be a little, well, full of themselves sometimes. They don't like the Jewish-Christians because they think that God rejected the Jews and Jewish law. No way! Paul tells them. He wants every Christian, regardless of their background, living in peace and harmony. Come on, guys. Can't we all just get along? Edwin and Marsha Becker are a very creative and beloved couple who became interested in the paranormal when they moved in to an extremely haunted house. Edwin Becker became a bestselling author with the release of his book True Haunting in 2011 about what happened to them as a young couple with a new baby in their own home. He went on to become a professional musician and spent his later teen years traveling the states with an R&B Show band. During his travels, he met and married his wife of almost 50 years. In college Ed studied the emerging field of computers and became very successful. Later suffering a near fatal heart attack, he retired to the Ozarks where he opened a collectible store for a number of years. He has been writing original stories for over three decades for pure enjoyment. He has two daughters that have given him four granddaughters. They now reside in Missouri, where they enjoy the year around activity and entertainment with their children, grandchildren, tons of friends and several beloved pets. Today we read the last Chapter in Romans. Romans 16.

The last bit of the letter consists of some shout outs to Paul's friends in Rome. Talk about name-dropping.There are about twenty-six names in all, but we'll just hit a few of the biggies:He first mentions a woman named Phoebe who Paul calls a "deacon." She's probably the person who is carrying his letter from Corinth to Rome.There's a married couple—Prisca and Aquilla—who have stuck their necks out for Paul lots of times.And Andronicus and Junia, a Jewish couple who were in prison with Paul and whom he calls "prominent among the apostles."Then Paul takes a break from his "hellos" to drop in a warning: watch out for false prophets. They don't follow Christ and they're only out for themselves. They're pretty good at tricking people into following them, though. So—eternal vigilance!Back to greetings! Paul puts in a few hiyas from the folks in Corinth. Timothy, Lucius, Jason, Sosipater, Tertius, Gaius, Erastus, and Quartus all say hello.Lastly, Paul gives one final shout out to God. Good morning! Today we are reading Romans Chapter 15.

Really, Paul just wants all the Romans to live in harmony together and glorify God together without worrying about their differences. Remember, Christ is with the Jewish-Christians and the Gentile-Christians, too. So let's all play nice. Paul actually has a good feeling about the Romans. He knows they're upstanding people who are knowledgeable and can help each other do what's right by God. He's only written to them to tell them all this and to give them advice because of his special relationship with God. What can we say. The Big Guy loves helping Paul write all his correspondence. Not that's he's bragging or anything. Paul would only ever brag about all the good things that God has done through him. So modest. For example, Paul has won tons of converts through the entire Roman Empire, but that's all God's doing. He made that happen. Paul's not usually in the business of preaching about Jesus where people already know him. He also doesn't usually come into a church community he didn't found, like the one in Rome, and start handing out advice. No, never. That's why he hasn't been to see the Roman Christians in person yet. He's been meaning to, but there are just so many non-believers who need to hear the good news first hand. Paul's got a busy schedule. But now he's fresh out of non-believers to convert in the area, so he's going to head over to Rome soon and stay a while on his way to preach the gospel in Spain. Oh, bull fighting? Not, quite. Before that, Paul has got to make a quick pit stop in Jerusalem. TINA MARIE CAOUETTE

Tina's a native of Massachusetts, but moved to Las Vegas in 2008 with her three loveable golden retrievers. That moved was a significant turning point in her life for a number of reasons but, the biggest, her recent UFO as well as abduction experiences that occurred while living in the outskirts of sin city. These occurrences have completely transformed the way she lives her life today and directed her to writing her first fiction book Alien Deceptions in 2011. A novel, as she describes it, as fiction based on fact. It has also lead her on a path of discovering the truth or at least her version of it, behind this mysterious phenomenon. Tina spent a couple of years with the Las Vegas UFO Hunters, and started with them Majestic 12 TV.  Tina spent her off hours as a MUFON investigator. Living in Las Vegas gave her a unique opportunity to investigate local sightings.  However, many of these reports were very much explainable as local air traffic and Venus. It airs every Friday night at Midnight Pacific Standard time for two hours and now is the number one paranormal show in the Las Vegas Valley. Tina is also in the process of moving her show over to her own Radio Network KCOR Radio that you can listen to worldwide at www.kcorradio.com. This station has an array of programing from the paranormal, news, and music. Tina is in the process of writing her follow up book to Alien Deceptions called Project Deep Core, as well as her memoirs detailing her own personal UFO experiences titled We Are Not Gods.  Her first kid’s book, Case of the Missing Sneaker, released in March of 2015. Tina has also joined forces with The Otherside Press and will be writing a monthly article on their site called, Walking Up in Dreamland. In the summer of 2014 Tina was the guide to Area 51 for a UK Film Crew shooting a reality TV show called, Educating Joey Essex.

Good Morning! Happy Easter to all the Orthodox Christians!  Christos Anesti! We are reading Romans Chapter 14.

There's more from our favorite lecturer…Paul! If people don't have a strong faith, then by all means, invite them over. But don't do it just so you can start a huge argument with them. Sounds like Paul has been to a Thanksgiving dinner or two. For example, some Christians will eat anything at all, even foods that other Christians consider unholy (like non-kosher foods or anything that's been sacrificed to the Roman gods). But it's silly to make a big deal about what other people are eating. God is totally fine with all these eating practices and you should be, too. The same problem happens with days of the week. Some people think one day is the best day to honor God, while other people don't care. So it's all fine. Eat what you're gonna eat, honor God when you're gonna honor him. It's really all okay. Look, it's not about us, Paul says. Jesus died and rose again. Do you really think he cares about who's right when it comes to what food you're eating? He's got bigger fish to fry. So there's no reason to be passing judgment on each other because everyone is going to have to answer to Jesus one day. Yeah, let him sort it out. Paul doesn't personally think that there are foods that should be put on the "Do Not Eat" list, but he won't fret if other Christians do. Just trust in God. If you think God wants you to lay off the booze, then do it. If you think God is fine with you firing up some pork chops, then by all means. But really, guys, Paul tells them. Pamela Loffredo is former York County Maine MUFON State Section Director and Field Investigator, appointed by Leland "Bud" Bechtel, (Maine MUFON State Dircetor) in 1992. Happy Easter!!! Today we are reading Romans Chapter 13.

 Paul's spree of advice continues. Everyone should obey people in positions of authority. After all, all authority comes from God, so all the authority figures running around out there must have been hand-picked by God. Makes sense… sort of. That means if you go against someone in a position of authority, then you're really going against God. Remember that next time you throw paper airplanes at your Spanish teacher. Basically, Paul says, if you just keep walking the straight and narrow and don't step out of line you should be fine. If you do,  those authority figures have swords and they're not afraid to wield them. (Ironic historical footnote: about 10 years after writing this, Paul was executed by the Roman authorities. Wonder if that might make him revise his thoughts in this section just a little?) Same thing goes for paying taxes. Sorry, Tea Party and Henry David Thoreau—you've got to pay them. If you owe money to the government, fork it over. And if you owe respect and honor to people in positions of power, then start practicing your groveling now.  Don't walk around owing anyone anything. Period. Oh, except love. You should owe everyone love all the time. And pay it as often as possible. That's the essence of all of Jewish law anyway, love. Paul thinks the Ten Commandments can pretty much be boiled down to "Love your neighbor as yourself." It's really pretty simple, guys. The hour is at hand. Salvation is coming soon to a theater near you. Any minute now, Jesus is gonna come down from Heaven again and make some non-believers feel pretty darn foolish. Yup. He's talking about the second coming, folks. So let's all just be good little boys and girls so we can always be prepared for this.
