From the beginning I've loved the idea of a world in which the Invisible Man, Dracula, Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Moreau, and Captain Nemo could run into each other. So far we’ve met the Invisible Man’s brother, a Van Helsing, a Jules Verne-esque Mysterious Island, and now with the arrival of Dr. Moreau our cast of characters is complete. But this is only the beginning.

Here it is — the podcast version of the weekly dispatches from The Paranormal Dinner Club. This is largely for my wife who is a voracious audiobook listener and loves having on a book as she picks up kids, drives to work, and goes on walks.

This is an experiment so leave me any feedback on how we can improve this. My narration is profoundly unprofessional but I do think there’s something fun about hearing an author read their own words. My hope is to package up whatever is posted during the week into audio format on Fridays. We’ll see how it goes.
