On this Episode on The Paranormal Son, we visit the American South in the polarising and historic year of 1969. A man is preparing for a speech in the American south in the late 1960’s, a time of upheaval and change in the nation and especially in the conservative and divided south. On one cool January evening, he is waiting outside for a Lion’s Club Meeting in Leary, Georgia, to begin, at about 7:30 p.m.

Soon after he spotted what he called “the darndest thing I’ve ever seen” in the sky. He was not alone, 10 to 12 other people who witnessed the same event.

No big deal, right? Cases like this happen every day all over the world and have been for at least 100 years. The sighting in and of itself was not extraordinary however the man who saw it was at the time he was a prominent politician. A few years later he would discuss his sighting in a forum you may have heard of the US presidential campaign. In 1977 this man would become the 39th president of the United States, a man you may have heard of Jimmy Carter…….
