Your heart, your tired body, your overworked nervous system, they deserve a cuddle, too. Even if no one taught you how, even if it feels unfamiliar, giving yourself the kind of gentleness you give your kids isn’t indulgent. It’s essential. And truthfully? It makes us better mothers, too.
