It's Christmas morning, and after you have opened everything up--did you find it?  Perhaps there is one remaining thing to open....your heart.

Advent challenges us to prepare to meet a God who is both infinite and imminent

The Christmas story shows us that something beautiful can come from the unexpected, even the misunderstood.  It is a story about broken hearts and fear, conquered by hope and promise, and the difference a good nights sleep can make.

When we look at the world around us, we may long for revolution. But Mary expected the coming of a different kind of kingdom, and it filled her with joy!

Christmas reminds us that we are apart of something that has already started without our knowing, yet it includes us and we are not behind.

Our world seems to thrive on narratives of winners and losers, good guys and bad guys, us and them. But what if there is no us and them, what if there is only us?

We live in a violent and polarized world. Are Jesus' teachings about non-violence out-dated or are they more needed than ever?

What if prayer wasn't about reminding God of his obligations, but instead it was about inspiring us of ours.

Prayer changes things... most importantly the person who is doing the praying!
