we rarely ever talk about adoption. I’m so thankful @muvacass was so transparent in sharing with us her story! You really never know what someone has gone through, and just being able to sit and to hear how her childhood went is really humbling. There are people fighting battles all around us, if only we took the time out of our lives to listen.

The Parked Car Conversation keeping these talks going! Sometimes they’re uncomfortable, sometimes they’re hard, but what’s life if we don’t keep provoking our minds to think about new things?!

s/o to @notjustling for being vulnerable about her experience with Step-Parenting! There’s often times a negative stigma that follows the title “step” parent. but why? Let’s dig a little deeper. Hear what it feels like, because it definitely comes with its challenges! and s/o one time for all the bonus parents who play a roll in raising these babies! you are appreciated because it takes special people to raise and love children that aren’t theirs biologically!

my experience, his experience...maybe your experience. this is definitely a topic that’s not spoken about yet so many are living and navigating through this every single day. it doesn’t go away and sometimes it feels SO crazy. probably because it is? but it doesn’t have to be?! every situation is different.

man looking back at my early 20s and all the mistakes that i made; i’m so glad to have had the opportunity to sit down with a young, goal oriented young woman! I know she’s on the right path. would i take back some of the stuff I did? yes. do i regret it? no because i’ve learned bigger lessons from them than anything.

Let’s keep these conversations going man... don’t close them out. talk to the folk in your community in their early 20’s. talk to the teens. ask them how you can help them.
