// Why My Experience is Worth More Than Your MBA \\
—> In my lifetime, I have started and ran over TEN different businesses.
.
.
.
These include anything from pet-sitting as a kid to photography to business coaching.
But here’s the thing…
(And I bet you can say the same as you look back over your life and your experiences)
Every. single. business. No matter how small or silly or insignificant, taught me something.
(So really, you can say that I have 20 years of business experience even though I’m 28 lol)
.
.
.
In this podcast episode, I give you a breakdown of all of the lessons I have learned, running each of these businesses over my lifetime.
This one podcast is probably worth more than an entire semester in a University level MBA program. #notexaggerating
.
.
.
Warning - if you prefer running your business with strategy hailed from the dusty corners of academia, DON’T listen in. You definitely won’t enjoy it lol.
If you want the timeless, tried and true principals of business and leadership, then this is the episode for you, my friend.

—> Do you feel like you are taking all of the perfect actions, and nothing is working?
Do you go live, give value to your audience, and send nurturing emails?
Are you making offers, offering free calls, and lowering your prices, and STILL only getting crickets?
Despite what a lot of “gurus” will tell you, having the right strategy will only get you about 20% of the way there.
The other 80%? It’s completely dependent upon you.
We all have trauma in our past that needs healing. Its part of the human experience.
And as much as you may be trying to hide it, your pain from those experiences are manifesting in everything you put out into the world.
In today’s podcast episode, I offer a tool I use with my private clients, to heal from the pain of their past, release it, and move forward.

Sean and Sonja Cannell run ThinkMedia, a company who’s mission is to help 10,000 entrepreneurs grow their businesses through Youtube.
As of this recording, its a multi-million dollar company.
They are also a married couple, who work together, live together, and serve together. They are an incredible example of what it means to be a husband and wife in business.
I knew they were awesome when I requested the interview, but during our conversation I was blown away. Speaking to Sean and Sonja was like chatting with two old friends.
They are authentic. They are real. They are humble…
… but most importantly, they understand their God-given purpose to serve the world, *through* serving and supporting one another.
It’s a beautiful conversation, and one every married entrepreneur needs to hear.

When my husband and I first started dating, I made one thing perfectly clear to him
(Actually, 2 things )
.

.
.
… See, there is a strange cultural phenomenon …
That makes completely no sense to me.
.
.
This idea that “opposites attract”.. ?
So when a couple gets together, one is an introvert, then the other tends to be an extrovert.
And if one loves to be on stage, the other prefers to be behind the scenes.
And the list goes on.
.
.
.
While I’m sure this is true with *some* couples.
… what about those couples who are *not* opposites?
.
.
.
What if they *both* want a stage?
What if they *both* have a mind-blowing vision for their lives and potential impact?
What if they *both* want to change the world?
Its the unfortunate truth that, when this happens, it is the woman who feels pressure to lean back and take a supporting role.
As if there isn’t room for BOTH of them to be world-changers?!?!
Gimme’ a break.

In today’s podcast episode, Robert & I have a super candid chat about what its like to offer MUTUAL support (what a freakin’ concept) to one another as we each attack our individual God-given missions.
(The first of which, of course, being married to one another and our commitment to our child)
.
.
.
Listen in if you’re married, in business, or just want to get ahead of any friction in case you end up marrying someone who loves attention/success as much as you do #relateable
