The Party Games Show

After months playing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Andrew and Colton finally reach the end of BioWare's seminal sci-fi RPG. This week, they're joined by their old friend, Clay Harrington. Unlike Andrew and Colton, Clay grew up playing KOTOR and discussed his feelings upon returning to the childhood favorite.

But, before all that KOTOR talk, Andrew, Colton and Clay discuss some new releases, including Spelunky 2 and Marvel's Avengers. Plus, Clay has been playing Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Colton has been exploring the expansive world of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

At the end of the episode, Andrew and Colton announce their next game club pick: Rockstar's 2005 school story, Bully, which is available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. More on that next week.

On this episode, Andrew and Colton reminisce about early 2000s corporate-branded video games (like Cap'n Crunch Crunchling Adventure), and discuss how capitalism and colonialism are presented on Kashyyyk and Manaan in this week's segment on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

In Episode 6, Andrew and Colton are talking Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. This week, for the second part of the game, Andrew and Colton travel to Dantooine and Tatooine and think a lot about colonialism, genocide and the politics of podracing.

If that doesn't sound very party-ish, they also chat about Fall Guys, the goofy, phsyics-y battle royale megahit. And, of course, giants riding around on dragons in Skyrim, as mentioned in the piece below.

This week, Andrew and Colton discuss the first eight hours of BioWare's 2003 RPG Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Who are their favorite companions? What does Taris' three-tiered structure have to say about class? And how does that pausable real-time combat hold up in 2020?

At the end of the show, Andrew and Colton discuss the murder of George Floyd, an unarmed Black man, by the Minneapolis Police Department, and express solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.

March was a wild month and Andrew and Colton didn't have time to do a proper game club. Instead, you can hear them chat about some of the new games they've been playing recently, including Doom Eternal and Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition on Switch. They also take some time to work through their anxieties about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
