Is it okay to make a name for yourself?
How do we differentiate selfish ambition from godly ambition?
The Apostle Paul made a pretty big deal about his ministry. He talked about himself a lot in the Epistles. He used his experiences, his suffering and even his work ethic as qualifiers for why he was worthy to be listened to. He instructed the Galatians,
"It is fine to be zealous, provided the purpose is good..." Gal. 4:18
The ESV says, "It is always good to be made much of for a good purpose."
There is a fine line between healthy zeal or passion and false humility. In this series, we try to make that line clearer.
