Hey Path Hunters!

My friend Vincent Nguyen came onto the Path Hunters podcast . He is the CEO of Growth Ninja, a Facebook ad service company that offers its service to help other companies with their Facebook ads

The Path Hunters podcast is all about leading a passionate lifestyle, following your bliss and hearing how others are doing it and Steven is doing exactly that!

He shared his journey on how he started and how he started his journey by working for a company called empire flippers and gaining the experience from them. Then, later on, going off on his own and then offering his services to empire flippers.

 

How to reignite your passion

Vincent mentioned where his company though is great but now he feels as if the passion for it has went away and vincent went into details about his latest passion project. Another business that he purchased and is super passionate about diving into that. 

He shares his insights on why he lost his passion and how he reignites it back into his life. 

What kind of traveling he did and his thoughts on having expectations when he traveling to different destinations and suggests that going into without an expectation is so much better. 

I asked Vincent as well about what it is was like being an Asian entrepreneur and coming from a traditional Vietnamese family. His thoughts and experience on dealing with his parents, and family. 

What is important to Vincent now is developing strong meaningful connections, and building it while he's settling back down at home in Arizona and mentions that when he was traveling, he would develop amazing friendships and connections but later on going their separate ways when they're traveling. So that's what drove Vincent to come back home to be closer to his family and friends.

Hey Path Hunters!

My friend Steven Farquharson came onto the Path Hunters podcast . He coaches creatives and entrepreneurs into becoming their fully expressed selves. He is one-half of the self-help comedy skit duo "2HelpfulGuys" and he is a conscious rapper. He uses these various mediums to inspire others to express themselves more while also entertaining them.

The Path Hunters podcast is all about leading a passionate lifestyle, following your bliss and hearing how others are doing it and Steven is doing exactly that!

He shared his journey on how he started and what it was like growing up with a blood disorder. He noticed early on that he had to hold back from expressing himself due to the fact that many people around him were concerned that he may hurt himself due to the blood disorder. Holding back for so long he decides to express himself through drama class and other outlets.

Not until later on in his early 20s,  he started putting himself out there more and more because he had an inner calling to be on stage and perform.

Steven wanted to just start so he started posting videos online with his friend and business partner Leroy( 2HelpfulGuys ) where they do self-help comedy, where he can truly be himself. He noticed that it started growing as time went on. People started to notice more and more.

How to find your passion?

I asked Steven how to get started on finding your passion & creative side.

• By trial and error,
• taking baby steps
• taking action even though it may not be perfect.

He suggests that even if you don't have a full clarity on what your passion is you somewhat have an idea, and by following that instinct of what you want to do, and take action on it but doing it in the smallest actionable form as possible. An example that he gave was podcasting. Start with 1 episode and put it out into the world and see what happens. Action creates clarity

It's not until after it had passed that I had a chance to reflect and realized if it wasn't for all this I wouldn't be the person who I am today. So in a way, I'm super thankful because of it.

Each chapter is one of that adversity that I went faced and what I learned from it after coming out of it.

I had an opportunity to chat with a digital nomad that is in the e-commerce space making 6 figures, and we didn’t chat about that but more about his upcoming project the new sweet ass journal to develop your happiness muscle in 100 days.

We spoke about ways on how to more happier with your life by repetition for 100 days but not consecutive days, as long as it’s 100 days.

Billy was 5 years old his mom heard him crying in his room. She asked what was wrong and he said “You’re born, you live for a while, and then you die. What’s the point?”

It took him years to answer that question. Now he helps other people figure out their “point” and live a life that’s true to them.

But years ago, Billy felt stuck. Stuck in a career that looked good on paper but wasn’t fulfilling. He dreaded Mondays and couldn’t wait for Fridays. However, he wasn’t willing to accept that his life had to be like this.

He has traveled to over 40 countries including trekking in the Himalayas, running with the Bulls in Spain, and swimming with sharks in South America. He has been a sugar-cane farmer in Costa Rica, an apple picker in New Zealand, and a fundraising director for UNICEF.

Billy knows what makes him tick. He understands the importance of courage in not allowing his fears to hold him back. In fact, he is scared of the exact same things you are: failure, looking stupid, not being liked.

How A 28-Year-Old Digital Nomad Started His Journey

Today’s guest I have a friend of mine that I met while traveling in Chiangmai Thailand.

We’ve become really good friends and connected instantly. Robert Botto a 28-year-old digital nomad traveling the world and building a lifestyle business. He shares so much of his insights. His journey, his favourite travel spots, his mindsets and tips on how to get started.

I just had to bring him onto the path hunters podcast and chat about all this.

Robert shares his story on his journey going from the corporate 9-5 world going through a partnership to helping his family business out to eventually starting his own business. What is really cool about Robert is that he’s still young, and going through all this in life has given him so much experience.

Robert and I agree on the fact that if you’re unhappy with what you’re doing now, you can change that.

Partnerships and the mentality 

Robert told a story about partnerships and how it works. They’re like marriages and the biggest thing he mentioned that communication is key when going into a business with a partner. Expressing what is going on, aligning the schedules, and always communicating is key.

The difference between Bali & Chiangmai and what the hype is all about. 

Bali is another spot for digital nomads to gather and do work, Robert mentioned that it’s a great place for established digital nomads with sustaining businesses, and not for someone who is just bootstrapping their business. You can easily get distracted with all the surfing and enjoy the weather. Chiangmai is a place where you’re able to bootstrap your business, the vibes there is amazing, everyone is on their laptops and doing some sort of entrepreneurial work.

How to get started 

Robert mentioned that a great way to start is by learning a new skill, and a great resource is going onto Udemy.com buy a course and learn a new skill set that will allow you to become a digital nomad. Being location independent.

Final Thoughts

I really enjoyed this interview as Robert is a young digital nomad that is following his love for travel, and built himself a business around that lifestyle. He shared some great points on how to get started, the mindset you need to have to get started, and what to expect.
