Because if Christ wasn't perfect he wouldn't truly be "Christ" and we would still be dead in our sins. Thankfully, through faith in Christ, we are forgiven of all sin. As a result, we are called to forgive others. God's grace allows us to be honest about our sinfulness and overlook offenses.
