My fifth Colloquy question regarding the authority of scripture and the emphasis on the Four Gospels as the material or main principles of scripture.

I'm discussing the differences between formal (Old Testament, Epistles) and material (The Four Gospels) principles in scripture, and also the authority, infallibility and inerrancy of scripture.

Conclusion of Colloquy Question 4 - Why are there so many differences in what Christians believe about (a) Law & Gospel (b) Word & Sacraments (c) Freedom & Bondage of the Will in regard to Salvation

4. Is it sufficient for a church or denomination to be “Bible Believing?” If so, why do churches which proclaim adherence to doctrines such as: infallibility, inerrancy, and inspiration differ so greatly on:

a) Law and Gospel

b) The Word and the Sacraments

c) Man’s ability to choose Christ or to participate in one’s own salvation.
