  • The Pathfinder Report - Episode 14 - A Day of Terror and Patriotism

Televisions and radios across the country all said the same thing that fateful day.  It is agreed that the terrorist attack against the US on September 11th, 2001 is a tragedy.  It is documented that the patriotism of US citizens and the national pride skyrocketed to the point where it was hard to find an American flag to purchase.  However, students today were not even alive at the time, and some may be confused as to why that pride coalesced- and where did it go?

Join Joel, Glenn, and Elissa on this episode of The Pathfinder Report as they talk about where they were that day and their experience of watching the country go through a transition in both unity and security.

  • The Pathfinder Report - Episode 13 - The Value of Hands-on Learning

Hands-on leaning in Government and Civics- what does it mean and why  is it so impactful?  What can it show us about how education works, why it works and why certain methods do not?  Dive into these questions with Joel Grewe and special guest Monica Gill on this episode of the Pathfinder Report!

Monica has been outspoken in challenging Public School policies. She has written articles for The Federalist and has appeared on numerous television and podcast segments commenting on poor education policies and the declining state of public education in America. Monica has also testified for The White House’s Presidential Commission for Religious Liberty.  Her invitation to testify arose from litigation and advocacy concerning Public Schools’ transgender policies and whether teachers may decline to use pronouns they believe contradict their religious beliefs.

  • The Pathfinder Report- Episode 9 - A World Without America

In this episode of The Pathfinder Report, Joel brings in 2 special guests to talk about what the world would be like without The United States of America, and the impacts the USA has historically and culturally around the globe.  These two guests are Jeremiah Lorrig and Cory Gibbons, two members of the Pathfinder Board of Directors and certified (somewhat literally) history nerds.

Jeremiah is a speaker, educator, international tour guide, and with developed expertise in international politics. In 18 years of service with Generation Joshua including serving as Director he took the lead on running projects, netting over 30,000 participants. Cory Gibbons is the Director of Marketing and Events at the Leadership Institute (LI). Originally from Flint, Michigan, she moved to Northern Virginia in 2014 to pursue her bachelor’s degree. From 2015 to 2018, she interned with Generation Joshua, where she supported multiple political campaigns through the Student Action Team (SAT) program — including Senator Jim Banks’ — participated in their teen tracts, and helped develop and execute their iGovern camps.
Before joining LI in 2023, Cory worked in marketing for nonprofits such as ParentalRights.org and Care Net. She holds an A.A.S. in Dental Assisting from Mott Community College, a B.A. in History from Patrick Henry College, and an M.S. in Marketing Project Management from Liberty University

  • The Pathfinder Report - Episode 7 - The Art of Packing & Cracking: Redistricting

Fun fact: voting districts can look like salamanders, but you have to do some packing and cracking to get there.

On this episode of the Pathfinder Report, Joel and Glenn bring in special guest Andrew Mullins to talk about a hot topic in todays political realm: Redistricting/Jerrymandering (they are, in fact, different terms for the same thing).  Why is it important, why are we talking about it, and how do we as a country "beat" it?

Andrew Mullins currently works in political advertising in the state of Virginia. His experience spans multiple presidential campaigns, PACs, and advocacy orgs, and is a Generation Joshua alumni from its early days.
