Katie and the gang are at Lizzy's house when she realizes Samantha can hear them speak to each other  with their minds.  Katie has a good time seeing Sam go through symptoms of becoming a were animal.  
Sam talks Katie into only having herself and Lizzy at the cabin when she is about to change.  Katie has misgivings but gives into Sam's desires.  
She is standing outside the cabin when Jackson distracts her.  As she is talking to him, she realizes she has stepped away from the cabin.  She hears a scream, running into the Cabin she finds Sam breathing her last breath.
