This is it, after 10 years of blogging and podcasting, I'm ending my regular posts and shows.  This episodes Post of the Week is all about why I'm saying goodbye, at least for now.  

In my last big idea podcast, I discuss a solution to cure many of the evils of the corporate machine. It all boils down to corporate governance.  I posit a simple thesis:  If a company's decisions affect shareholders, employees, and communities, then shouldn't they all have a say in the decisions that company makes?

An article on retirement planning with a twist got me thinking about the challenges in my own retirement.  What happens when your Go-Go isn't on the same timeline as everyone else?  Does it become a No-Go?  

A trip to take my daughter to a Bounce House reminded me that when the MBA's take over a business, it always results in worse service and higher costs all in the quest for more and more money.  So why do we let them do this and how can we get away from it?  

Some students really want to learn.  Most don't.  They just want to get through.  But if learning is going to make your life better, then why isn't there the desire to do it? That's the question we explore in this episode of the Peluso Presents Podcast. 

I had to teach a class with an instructor who did the least amount of work possible.  Then I had to teach that same class with an instructor who did everything imaginable to make the course a truly enriching experience for the students.  The two experiences made me think about work ethic in a whole new way.

Unwined was amazing.  It was a great little wine shop in the middle of nowhere, but more importantly it was the template for a perfect retirement lifestyle.  

Parenting is hard.  Parenting is even harder when you have a kid who makes poor choices.  Then what amounts to the entire legal system rests on the parents shoulders.  Wouldn't it be great if there was a way to outsource this job so that someone else becomes the bad guy?

There is a double standard in the world, and it only affects women.  They can't be who they are naturally in the professional environment because some parts of the population can't deal with it.  This led me to the conclusion that there are draconian rules that women must follow at least if they hope to have a great career.  And Yes, I think it sucks too!
